Postula que los anticuerpos antineurotransmisor colinérgico reconocen, se unen y activan a los receptores muscarínicos colinérgicos (mAChR) de las glándulas exócrinas (salival y lacrimal) específicamente. De esta interacción, surge una disfunción parasimpática con la aparición de xerostomía y queratoconjuntivitis seca en los pacientes con SS. Asimismo, demostraremos que estos anticuerpos anti-mAChR servirían como otro factor de “diagnóstico” del SS. Su identificación y cuantificación se hará por un método sencillo de inmuno ensayo (ELISA).</text>
