Por otra parte, esta tesis brinda nuevos antecedentes básicos de prilocaína y mepivacaína en el área de la farmacología con un enfoque no estudiado previamente, ya que relaciona alteraciones estructurales con las funcionales. El interés fisiológico de estos resultados se debe a la alteración de un importante sistema que disminuye la concentración de calcio mioplásmico en el músculo esquelético evitando su contracción sostenida.
